I have a new favourite pair of falsies and it’s a Japanese brand called i.envy. I like these broadway lashes for its soft flirty look and the fact that it stays perfectly in tact despite using it repeatedly . I have a truckload of lashes but these are the easiest in terms of application so far. It’s retails for around 10 SGD a pair,  not cheap if you ask me but you are paying for premium nautral hair eyelashes.

I bought these lashes from Watson’s and the outlet I went to had quite a nice selection. Their bottom lashes look tempting so I might just pick up a few more pairs. I did not have to trim these lashes which I love because I’m afraid of making mistakes. I’ll definitely layer these eyelashes with a denser even length falsie for added drama!

Hope you enjoyed this short review

hi guys! I bought this candydoll lip gloss in milky pink along with my Candy Doll lipstick in Ramune Pink.that I reviewed very recently ! I thought the packaging for this lipgloss looked a little cuter than the lipsticks and I loved all the girlie shades available. The nudes and pink lipgloss looked very pretty too but I decided to get milky orange as it would go with most of my pink or nude lipsticks beautifully.

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I have a really special sponsored skincare post. Why Special? Well, cause all 4 products are organic and 3 are rose based and contain skin loving ingredients. Jasmine from flowersofpink.blogspot.com blogshop contacted me and provided me with Shylina Organic skincare products to test out and review. She knew about my skin sensitivity and pointed out that an organic skincare line might actually be beneficial for my picky skin type.

** Sponsored review post but opinions expressed are strictly my own

To start off, I’ll review the items in the order of use. Jasmine gave me pointers on the best way of using her products which I found to be useful and important. All good skin products go to waste when you don’t apply them correctly, so I was thankful that she provided me with all the tip of PATTING IN all the products into the skin for long term benefits!

Just some skincare info for you guys to ponder about:

Skin is replaced every three weeks at age 20 but this increases to every nine weeks by age 50

After age 25, skin oil production starts to drop. This reduces acne but produces a dryer skin. This drop in oil production becomes more serious after age 45

Hi Everyone! It’s Friday already and I’m glad to be posting often this week! I’m spending more time at home because I’ve been pretty caught up with work and needed to spend some down time with my little one. Thankfully I have a bunch of products waiting to be reviewed so I can be super productive still.

I know everyone has probably heard of this line of makeup by Tsubasa Masuwaka, but for us in Singapore, it’s a little hard to come by in our local drugstores. I happened to be at Watsons picking up some personal items when I stumbled across a small Candy Doll Hanging display and I immediately started to search for reviews on my iphone. What a geek!

I’ve been using NYX’s Champagne and Caviar for about a month now and I can safely say that while it isn’t a must must have palette, it’s still recommended to have for its very useable neutral shades. I use the light brown shades frequently for crease work as they are blendable and wearable.

I actually took a shot of this 10 color eye shadow NYX palette in natural light and I guess my camera washed out the colors quite a bit. The shadows are very buildable and my favorite shade would have to be the browns in the center of the palette and the black. The matte white shade on the lower left corner is too stark for my liking and I find that it stands out way too much when I have the other neutral colors on. That’s one of my few gripes about this NYX Runway Collection Palette.
Some of the beigey colors on the top row can look rather similar to one another and I find myself using these shades for the center of the lid to brighten it up. Also, I like using the shimmery Champaign color right next to the black for the inner corners of the eyes. It gives a nice sparkle.
I love the packaging of NYX palettes because they always come with a mirror and are super slim and compact. Sometimes when I am using my Too Faced palettes, I really wonder why it didn’t come with a mirror because truth be told, I always reach for palettes with a brush or a mirror more often than ones without. It’s simply more convenient to use.

Everything on my eye is from the palette and I did use an eye primer just to give the colors more intensity and vibrancy! It’s super affordable and I got mine for around 15 SGD. NYX always has a good deal so get this if you are a neutral shade lover!
Hope you are keeping nice and warm, the weather has been so rainy, so dark and so gloomy here.. very unlike the usual tropical weather…

Sorry guys, I’ve been MIA for a while. Been fighting the flu bug and it’s been rather difficult to get adequate rest with a hyper 13 month old! I promised part 2 on applying eyeliner for school so here are 5 tips to stick with and hopefully you’ll have pretty natural looking eyes for school!

I’ve been meaning to try out some Tony Moly products but their shops aren't that accessible from my workplace or home so it’s pretty difficult to get hold of. Imagine my excitement when my mom got me this juicy green Tony Moly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream this past tuesday! I’m currently testing this peeling cream along with some other sponsored products, so expect some skincare reviews soon. I am such a exfoliating skincare junkie!

Hi Lane, i came across your blog recently and i love it! i was wondering if you have a post about which eyeliners don't smudge easily and how to apply them such that it looks natural enough for school?

Thanks for your time! (:

I’ve been getting quite a few emails from young ladies who would like to learn about which products to use for a natural eye look for school and I seriously am flattered that they would write to me asking for advice!

Seriously, I wish the internet was as useful back in my schooling days as it is now. When I was a teenager, eye makeup simply meant using my mom’s beat up black pencil liner on my lash line – no smudging, no technique , just gliding it on and praying for the best. Most days I looked like a panda with smudges under my eyes and needless to say the boys weren't impressed.

I’m not sure about you but over here in Singapore, most teens aren't allowed to wear makeup to school until university. I do find it quite restrictive because outward appearance is important for self esteem regardless of age and a little powder/concealor/ eye makeup never hurt anyone. Plus students like myself still wear makeup anyways.

Scarves are all over this season. Just look at any Forever 21, H&M or New Look Outlet and you’ll be able to find scarves of different size, shape and color. I’ve been really inspired by this recent trend and decided to try out a few wearable easy looks. What I like most about throwing on a scarf is the ability to jazz up a simple outfit. A scarf is like another accessory that is oh so versatile…

Also, the heat here is terrible so I opted for a thin silk peachy colored scarf:

I have quite a few really long, really big falsies in my collection which I’ve been trying to wear but could never quite figure out how to pull it off without looking like a clown.

By the way my definition of big lashes are those that you would never wear out in broad day light without any other eye makeup. In other words, lashes that almost touch your brow bone or dramatic lashes.

Can you tell I’m feeling Catty today?

Dr secret sunblock

CD foundation to under eyes and T zone

Etude House Proof 10 Aqua Tint ( I’ve been using this a lot for just been kissed lips. I did state in my initial review that I didn’t like it but the color seems to be less red after letting it lie around my makeup stash for months. Now I seem to be reaching a lot for this lip tint for natural looks )
