Hi Beauties!

Retail therapy is my kind of thing. Everytime I get stressed up at work, I feel a need to do some shopping. I usually try on stuff at H&M, Forever21 and Cotton On ( but CO stuff is getting really lousy). I am no skinny girl so I hope this helps all you girls with similar body type to mine :) bTw, those are my new forever21 shoes that I LOVE. The grip and cut is amazing and it cost me around 39 bucks only!

IMG_0704_thumb[8]IMG_0705_thumb[14]

I was trying out this collared mint shirt thingy from H&M and I don’t think it flatters my body one bit. It makes me look fat and my arms just look super fleshy. It’s a pass!

IMG_0729_thumb[11]

Then I popped by forever21 to look for a dress for my good friend’s wedding engagement next month. I remembered seeing this dress in one of DulceCandy recent haul videos but it really looked cheap on me. Plus it made my top half look so huge! hahaha… well.. I’m fleshy but this dress kinda puts things out of proportion. I couldn’t find any other cute dresses at Forever21—sad!

IMG_0715_thumb[11]Tried on this striped black and white top. Very boring.. Pass.

IMG_0719_thumb[13]

I love this cute coral top. Very easy to mix and match with jeans or pants. I really live in pants. Got this and actually the front looks sheer but when you wear it on, isn’t that see through. I wanted the ocean blue shade too! Got this!

IMG_0725_thumb[9]

I have a love for nude tops. Seriously love this silky nude blouse. I can see myself wearing this with pants everyday. haha..

Ok, my little one is adapting to school after 3 tiring weeks and I’ve finally been able to take some time out for myself. I wanted to get a few items from Zara but I was thinking that one Zara top can usually get me 2-3 items from Forever21 or H&M. I bought a few bras from H&M and I really love the cutting but I shall not show it cause it’s way too personal.

Great midweek!

What’s with the recent slew of eyelashes reviews you might think. Well, I’ve got more falsies review coming up but I’ve been really impressed with the new lashes that kkcenterhk has stocked up on lately. They look like the expensive Japanese dolly eyelashes and the quality is always reliable as I’ve reviewed their products before.

IMG_3903

Just by looking at the eyelash above, you would not be able to tell I’ve worn and washed it twice already *with no special handling *  and it has not lost it’s shape, the lash band is still firm but bendable and the lashes have not lost their curl. I can wear these lashes for hours on ends and I do not have a problem with them irritating my eyes.

IMG_3954

ES A613 glamour big eyes type lashes really enlarge the eye and make them look so dreamy and doll like. I think my eyes would look even more dolly with some bottom lashes but I’ll save that for my other lashes review.

Not saying good things because these were sent free. I swear by the dolly effect and the durability of these lashes. Go try it!

Just love these lashes!

Truth is I look pretty tired when my skin is not looking 100%. I rarely wear any foundation therefore I tend to rely heavily on the natural state of my skin. The only place I slap on concealor is usually under my eye and angry red spots. However with all the commitments I have on my plate right now & the daily running around in the burning hot weather, I’ve noticed my skin looking more tired and more uneven. I’ve found new pigmentation spots, darkening of existing freckles and a more dull skin quality. Also, I cut down on my exfoliation for the past month to allow my skin to regenerate and found that my skin was getting more oily as a side effect.

Well, I couldn’t take my dull, tired looking skin any longer and decided to embark on helping my skin get glowy and looking more alive. I took out my Clarisonic Mia which I stopped using because the last time round, my skin was pretty dry and sensitive ( skin condition always changes so you have to be more aware of your skin’s current situation). I’ve found the Clarisonic Mia to work wonders in just 1 week of daily usage. My skin is looking more fresh and vibrant and my facial products feel like they are sinking into my skin instead of just forming a layer on top of my dead skin cells.

I also use Kanebo Silk Peeling Powder for added exfoliation strength when I use my Clarisonic and I cannot rave about this wonderful product enough. It cleans the skin and leaves it so fresh afterwards with no allergic reaction.

Also I switched up my toner and am using an old favourite – LUSH Eau Roma Water. It’s so refreshing and light and makes my skin feel soothed and comforted. If you have very sensitive skin I highly highly recommend this as a toner or a facial mist. Your skin will love you for using it!

Lastly, I’m using my Avene 50+ Sunblock for added protection against the crazy UV rays. With all the exfoliating action going on and the hot hot weather, I better protect my skin or all my hard work will be for naught. I’ve started using hats again and I even bought a pair of sunglasses from Cotton On to protect my eye area.

Call me fanatical but I really think using the Clarisonic Mia once everyday along with the Kanebo Silk Peeling Powder ( 2-3 times ) a week along with daily usage of Lush’s toner and sunblock has brought back much needed radiance to my skin.

image

I think my skin is looking a lot softer after 2 weeks of my project skin overhaul but I will have to go easy on the exfoliation soon. Good to let my skin and new collagen grow too.I hope you have a good weekend and hope this entry will help those of you who need to bring back a glow to your face. Let me know how it goes!

Lip Smacker and Coca Cola have come up with 3 adorable Soda-pop caps that come in 3 yummy flavours namely Coca Cola,  Sprite, Fanta Orange. All 3 flavours appeal to the kid in me because they were my childhood sweet treat but my ultimate favourite will always be Coca Cola.

IMG_3759IMG_3760IMG_3758

Starasia Singapore always send amazing press kits and these Soda-pop caps were no exception. Peeking into the brown paper bag was like taking a peek into my past. With marble and paper balls and all sorts of cute toy souvenirs. My boy hijacked the toy car and the parachute man and truth be told my whole family was having fun with this pack of old school toys ! Winking smile

Just look at the color on these lip balms. If you love lip smacker lip balms, you’re sure to like these for their smooth texture and yummy taste. I think the packaging is cute and my sister has lay claim over the sprite Soda-pop cap!

You can grab these collectable Soda-pop caps at Watsons now! I’ve seen them in a few outlets and almost bought them before getting them to review. What a happy post for this midweek! Enjoy ~~

Hey Beauties,

Yes, I’m back & this time with really beautiful falsies. All thanks to the lightning fast kkcenterhk  who has recently stocked these amazing lashes ES A533 that look as good as my Dollywink eyelashes. Just look at the doll like effect they give my eyes and trust me, you can definitely wear these alone with a slight cat eye wing or nothing at all. I think I’ve found my HG falsies.

image

Now I’m afraid that everyone will end up getting them and then these bad boys will be out of stock before I know it! When I saw these on their website, I immediately knew I had to select these for review because they looked perfect for gyaru or that innocent wide eye effect.

IMG_3818

Equipment: – Actually, I’ve discovered a pretty effective way to mold the lash band for easier application but I’ll do a separate post on it. I trimmed the lashes and selected Etude House clear glue. I’m using my trusty Body Shop Tweezers for application because of the thin clear lash band.

IMG_3821

IMG_3824

IMG_3828

ES A533 rocks because the lashes are light weight and look natural while adding length and flair at the corners. You can dress these lashes up or down really easily. Also because the front section is more natural looking and the back section more dense, you can easily choose where to trim depending on how dramatic you want your eyes to be ( snip more from the front if you want more drama or cut the back if you want more natural looking eyes).

I would recommend black eye lash glue if you need to put it on in a hurry and use minimal eye makeup. You can also tightline your eyes for a more defined and natural look. I find a lot of girls who wear falsies either put on way too much eye makeup or wear too little ( making the lashes stand out in a bad way).

IMG_3858

I re used these lashes without any problem and truth be told, I wore them for a few hours and they felt so comfortable and light. I got quite a few more falsies review coming up so remember to check back. I’m also going to do an update falsies application post for those of you who want to learn how to best wear your lashes.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Beauties,

I attended a work related dinner last week and thought to post the look I was sporting just in case any of you have work related events to attend and were wondering what look to sport!

I kept the eye rather neutral with Urban Decay’s Naked Palette Half Baked on the lid and a simply cat eye liner. Also, I used bronzers on my cheek for added definition (* It’s actually to slim down my giant face) and Revlon’s Lip Butter in Peach Parfait ( I’m not a fan of most of the colors they brought into Singapore – hoping the one I asked Dee to send me would be perfect! )

IMG_3614IMG_3616IMG_3617

Also, I managed to pick up the much raved about EOS Lip Balm and I’m such a fan after trying it!!! It’s such an impressive lip balm. Very moisturizing in a non sticky sort of way. Plus this circular egg like lip balm is so fun to use! I got mine in lemon but the taste is so light and disappears almost immediately.

Hi Beauties,

Pardon my sudden absence but I’ve been drowning in work and family life. It’s been crazy overwhelming. Work has been piling on and my little one just started childcare. Also, I just had a little home renovation done so I hope you don’t feel like I’ve just left this blog to rot!!

Anyhoo, today is Valentine’s Day and I’m sure lots of of you have a dinner or something special planned out. Makeup wise, I think it’s time to give the guys what they want which is to see skin * I mean our skin skin, not caked with foundation skin * hehe… Also, you know how guys like to see flushed cheeks and soft lips so I opted for neutrals and bronzers to give it a natural yet flirty look. I used my Urban Decay Naked Palette and my favourite Essence Matt Bronzing Powder on my cheeks and temples. Lips were a light peachy color to complement the soft makeup :)

Well, I’m not going for a va va voom look this Valentine but I hope my hubby will prefer this softer natural look. I think all guys like the “No makeup look”….

Enjoy!

Here’s the real deal on my Naked Palette affair.

I was at Sephora a few ago and I happened to come across the incredibly cute Tokidoki Sodashop palette with sweet heart shades that swatches so smoothly. I liked what I saw and bought it on impulse and I felt truly that this was going to be my new most reached for palette. Unfortunately, using it at home left my eyes red and itchy and I had no choice but to return it.  Eye shadows rarely cause such an allergic reaction for me!

I walked around Sephora a few times and decided that there wasn’t quite anything I wanted to try out except for this little Naked Palette that is owned by the entire universe and I was like “ oh boy, you are so slowwwwwww to get this"…Before I could even end the debate going on in my head, I had purchased this palette and shoved the sexy beast into my bag.

So I really got to thank soda shop for this accidental affair. Horribly late but so worth the wait….

So, I rest my case. Naked Palette you are any makeup lover’s dream. I love you.

Skin79's Simple Touch Eyeliner is now my dollywink liquid eyeliner replacement. Simply due to the fact that the tip is fine and ultra easy to work with. I think newbies would have no problem working a gorgeous cat eye, a simply dolly eye look or a strong korean dark eyeliner look with this amazing eyeliner.

IMG_3184

IMG_3186

IMG_3182

I really love the fact that it’s such a buildable eyeliner pen and it offers somewhat more control due to the fine and firm pen tip. You can vary the thickness of the liner because of the thin pen tip which is very important in my opinion. The only minor issue I seem to have is with the blue stain it leaves after I remove my eye makeup. I remember the 24 hour tattoo eyeliner leaving a similar stain.

Overall, I think Skin79 simple touch eyeliner is so easy to use. I can draw on a variety on eyeliner looks so I recommend it!

Anyways, I’m ending this sponsored review with a picture of my favorite but absolutely sinful treat. GARRETS MACADEMIA POPCORN!!!
