Hi Beauties,

Isn't it great to be able to take some time out before work to have ur favorite beverage or food? Sitting through several painful 6-10 hour long meetings has left me pretty exhausted both mentally and physically.

A comforting cup of corn soup and my favorite iced milk tea to recharge and energize my batteries for the long day ahead :-) what do u like to have before u start ur day?

Happy Saturday,

Hi Beauties,

One of my oldest and dearest friends just got married on a late drizzling Tuesday evening. Quite romantic if u ask me and I really wish her tons of happiness since we've been friends for a good decade!

Naturally, the bride was extremely busy and we weren't able to *camwhore* but it was good catching up with some of my college mates.

It's good to know that most all my friends still look the same. More grown up and more adult but still very much the same.

Well, I had to force my hubby to take my outfit of the night and as u can tell, I turn into a super duper goof ball with when he's around. I was wearing a green pleated skirt and black corset top with a grey cardigan for the wedding.

I enjoy weddings .. Congrats bell - u looked beautiful!

IMG_0273IMG_0260Hi Beauties,

It’s been really hot on most days so I thought to celebrate the heat and warmth and go with a bronzy, flushed look and flirty lashes. Might as well embrace the warmer months and get a healthy glow.

I think the only palette I use on a regular basis is the Naked Palette and I’m seriously digging Essence Lip sticks, bronzers and blushers ( I used them for this look but didn’t include it in the picture * oops*)

I’ve been wearing this look a lot. I contoured my face with some bronzer for a warmer glow. Also, I’ve been itching to check out the Naked 2 palette at Sephora but my work load has really doubled in the past month and as soon as I feel like I can take a break, something crops up and I’m like ~ tired ~

You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about my future ambitions and I have 2 that I’m really really keen on. I would love to buy, revamp and sell property or expand into the furniture trade. These businesses are very closely linked to my current job and I feel like I can see myself thriving in them. I love beauty and fashion too and in so many ways, design is an integral component of all the things I’m passionate about. I just hope I move myself in the right direction….

Happy Sunday,

Hi Beauties,

Have you heard IU sing live? She has the most angelic and beautiful voice I’ve heard from any Korean artist and what I love about her is that she doesn’t have to dress all slutty to get mega attention. Less is more and in her case, her school girl and innocent image really matches her soothing and youthful voice!

So, it’s been forever, but here’s a tutorial for IU inspired Korean School GIrl Makeup!!

1) Start with your sunblock, base, foundation, whatever you have to do to cover most imperfections. I forgot to apply my under eye concealor but I shall do so in the later steps :) Yes, I look ghostly white because of my freshy applied sunblock & I have a little one in the background!

* I feel fat around my face so I’m testing out this new slimming face mask*

2) Put on double eyelid tape for a natural double eyelid look. Nothing too dolly like here. I also apply a lip balm at this stage.

IMG_0143

3) Using my current go to eyebrow pencil Bourjois Eyebrow pencil to do a thicker stronger brow shape

IMG_0140

IMG_0144

4) Some brown eyeliner to tightline upper water line and lower water line

IMG_0145

IMG_0146

5) Omg, I should always conceal first! How could I have forgotten this step?IMG_0149IMG_0152

6) Using the blusher color add some on the lid on warmth and use some on the cheeks. IU doesn’t have overpowering blush so ease on on the cheek color. We are going for a soft peachy flush.IMG_0153IMG_0157

7) Add a little black liner on the lash line and blend over with black eyeshadow for a softer yet more defined look.IMG_0166IMG_0169IMG_0170

8) Orangey lipstick and a soft lip gloss

IMG_0177

9) Curl and add some light mascara * think natural for IU school girl look *

Hi Beauties,

Really sorry for the absence in blogging land! I’ve been working hard at work, managing a few projects and devoting time to my darlings. I hope you’ve been doing fine ~~ Cause I missed u! Anyhow, I would be lying if I said I haven’t done some shopping so here’s some pictures to let you have a sneak peak at my recent purchases and since my mom had a recent holiday to Korea, I’ll share whatever she bought for me with you.

First off, I am in love with Essence. It is one of the most affordable and most value for money drugstore brand. I love their lipsticks, their eyeliners, their nail polishes and blushers too! Pastels are all the rage now and I bought a pastel bluish/grey and soft purple nail polish. I bought the red and black polishes some time ago and had to feature them cause I love the colors. The pastel shades can be streaky but these Essence nail polish really last for a few days without much chipping and the color remains fresh and vibrant. One thing though, the greyish blue shade can get a little bubbly after a few coats. Otherwise, I love this nail polishes to bits.

I’m on a blush kick. My skin seems to be okay with blushers and these Essence Blushers give off just the right amount of color. For 5.40 SGD a blusher, I was expecting much less color payoff but these blushers rock! I like to apply these after I apply my sunblock because they work better with some sort of base on ( I don’t wear foundation so I naturally use these after sunblock). I bought the synthetic Essence blush brush but it doesn’t quite pick up the product too well. I also bought the Bourjois Rose dor 34 and I love it! It’s the perfect pink shade!

My mom got this TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL lip tint. The packaging is lovely. It’s very smooth but I don’t quite like how it looks on my lips.

IMG_0088

Apparently, my mom really liked this brand called It’s Skin and brought back all these samples for me. I’m thinking of including some in my future give away and definitely will be testing these out too. I forgot to include a picture of It’s Skin Aloe Vera face masks… looks good!

I popped by SkinFood today to get my egg hair mask. Their stuff is more expensive as compared to Etude House but I really like the quality of their skin and hair care products. I decided to purchase their eyebrow pencil for my mom and their Egg Plant Eyeliner in Brown for myself! Got a bottle of cleansing oil from Watsons cause I like Olive Oil based cleansers.

Some misc stuff my mom bought for me :) Mom’s are the best!

Hi Beauties!

As you all know I’m always on the look out for the perfect lip tint. I’ve tried the Revlon lip stain which was really sucky IMHO but this one from Etude House seemed quite promising. I happened to stumble across Etude’s House Follow me lip tint when I was out shopping for groceries ( always a reason to drift off the agenda) because the green shade was screaming for some attention!

IMG_4206IMG_4207

IMG_4209

How it works:-

Apparently it makes lips pink but the shade varies from person to person.

Pros:-

1) It really makes my lips look super pink

2) Stays pink for 4 hours

3) It’s moisturising

Cons:-

1) Splotches of pink can be found on the lipstick ( I think it’s from the dry skin)

2) I find the green color a little “ugly” sometimes … haha… it gets attention but it looks a little unnatural

IMG_4212

Overall, I like how it’s smooth and makes my lips pink. Too many coats makes my lips look way too pink however so I usually keep it to one or 2 coats. I like the fact that the stain can be removed and doesn’t make my lips look darker once it comes off too.

Hope you enjoyed this review! Take Care!

Hi Beauties,

I don’t really know what it is about circle lens and falsies. They seem to go hand in hand just like chocolate and bread, waffle and ice cream. But I also believe that falsies worn right can enhance or changes any eye shape. Well, kkcenterhk sent me ES A666 which contained 10 different sets of lashes. I tried out the third and fourth lash set from the left and I loved it. Comfortable, easy to apply, durable and gorgeous looking.

IMG_4091

I trimmed the third pair of lashes from the left into half and applied them on the outer half of my lash line. What I loved about it was how natural it looked on while enhancing my eye shape.

For the next look I tried, I used these 2 pair of lashes from the box:
