Hi Beauties,

Yes! The hubby got me a naked palette 2. and he even went through online reviews to make sure that I was getting a worthy palette. That's impressive!

Babbling aside, I love the packaging of naked palette 2 because it's more sturdy and expensive looking plus the word "NAKED" doesn't rub off. I also like that they threw in an additional lip gloss and a double ended brush.

Color selection wise, it's rather cool toned. There are 11 new colors with Half baked being the only repeat color. Because it's such a gorgeous gold shade I don't really mind.

Colors I adore :- bootycall, snakebite, ydk and verve
Colors I don't fancy:- tease and foxy

I find the matte colors aren't as pigmented as I'd expect and it comes out a little flat on my skin. The shimmery shades are always pigmented but pistol isn't a shade I'm fond of. Overall, I find naked palette 2 very suitable for office makeup looks. It's not as warm as naked palette 1 and the colors seem to be rather similar. I also noticed that the colors fade after a few hours and don't seem to last as long as version 1. I always have to use primer with this palette.

I still prefer naked palette 1 but I'm super happy that I have a lot more neutrals shades to choose from now. Surprisingly I find the shadows in naked palette 2 are perfect for creating a lovely natural yet polished looking eye! Obviously u can go major smokey too with blackout and busted!

What are ur thoughts on naked palette 2 ?

Hi Beauties,

You know being 27 sure is strange. I feel more confident in who I am as a person but i find myself working towards being calm and having a more stable composure especially in tough situations.

I can be pretty loud, brash and outspoken at times. I'm not a very tactful person but because of work and because of my little one, I'm trying to change. I used to be afraid of confrontations but now I try to face them because I want to be braver.

Age may bring lines to my face but I also like to think it brings wisdom and knowledge- priceless.

Haha.. Personal and work disputes make me a little sad but reflective and instead of dwelling on unhappy stuff, I rather learn, move on and focus on the stuff I find important. I like retail therapy and greek yogurt for moving on :-)

Hi Beauties,

Can't believe it's almost the end of April! April just begun and now we're about to greet a new month.Anyhow, life has its ups and downs and right now mine is rather challenging cause my baby is down with Hfmd ( hand foot mouth disease)

He caught it last Friday from his school and I feel so terrible. Its the first time he's gotten this highly contagious sickness and not to mention, it hurts like shit. Seriously, he has been so moody and lethargic and spent the whole of last night crying, waking up in pain. His mouth, hands, knees and butt has spots on them which I pray won't turn into awful blisters. There seems to be a Hfmd epidemic going about in child care centers in Singapore so it's probably not a surprise but dumb luck that my baby's group mates had gotten it and we were late in being informed. It's really heart wrenching to see my baby in so much pain, the ulcers are causing him to lose his appetite and not want milk even. This really sucks!

Anyhow, in the midst of all the madness, my lovely hubby gifted me with a bag of happiness. I'm truly blessed to have a guy like him who puts a smile on my face even at times like this.

Love, a very sleepy me.

Hi Beauties,

As u can most probably tell, I'm on a braids high as it keeps the hair out of my face! I wear braids to work, out shopping and home. It's just so easy to put together and wear. Just watching braided hair tutorials on you tube gives me an idea of different ways to style my hair and the pic below consist of 3 braids combined into 1.

Do u wear braids often??

Hi Beauties,

I'm totally gaga over Essence nail polishes because they are cheap and great quality. So glamorous is a recent must have for u nail obsessed ladies and I can't rave about it enough.

This chilli red pops on my sallow skin tone which is a major feat because most cheap, red nail polishes just look awful on me. This nail polish looks like Mac'a Russian red - only that it's meant for the nails! Smooth and easy to apply too.

Try it! ** added a pic of boy and me cause he's so handsome here**

Hi Beauties!

I'm having a giveaway and it's super easy to participate! If u've always wanted to try out Korean brand Clio, here's ur chance to win a gel pencil liner in star purple! Be a follower an leave a comment in my previous entry! Simple!

Okay, I'm officially nuts over Nyx matte lipsticks. The lipstick is smooth and there's no nasty taste that's in most of their other permanent lipstick lines. I've never been a nyx lipstick fan until this matte line came out. The color range is gorgeous and the pigmentation awesome. Lasting power wise, I would say it stays on a good 3-4 hours.

Have u tried this range and which is ur favourite color?

Love

Hi Beauties,

I've been testing out Elf's complete coverage concealer for a week now and it's safe for me to voice my opinions on this creamy concealer.

First and foremost, the packaging is very compact in a slinky black case and a built in mirror. There are four different concealer shades but this quad I got is for fair-lighter skin tones.
As the name goes, it's suppose to be high coverage too but my experience is that Elf's complete concealer, is way too creamy. The shades are complementary for my skin tone but the oily texture is not something I'm fond of. You would have to dust loose powder to prevent the concealer from slipping right off and what I can't stand about doing this is that powder at my eyes accentuates the fine lines. A big no no!

Lasting abilities wise, I find it stays on for a maximum of 1-2 hours especially when I am moving around in the hot weather. I have also found my eyeliners and mascaras to transfer because of the oily texture.

I would only recommend this concealer to those with very very dry skin or ladies who use loose powder as a part of their foundation routine. I'm not quite impressed with the low coverage it provides too.

What do u think of my under eye circles? I use both concealer shades from the left as they suit my skintone the most. I'm using hot mama as shadow from the recommendation of my readers ** thanks this blusher is really awesome!!**

Hi Beauties,

I'm feeling really crappy and sickly and don't really know who to blame this time - The weather? My weak constitution? The flu bug?

Anyways I just want to get better cause finger pointing won't help anyone! The topic of interest today is going to be on reviving dead fried hair.

I have 3 products that I've been using diligently and recommend wholeheartedly to anyone with over processed hair.

1) Lush Big Shampoo
There's got to be a reason why so many ppl are stark raving mad over this sea salt volumising shampoo. It doesn't dry out my hair with daily use and gives some oomph to my limp hair. I love how this shampoo smells too!

2) Skinfood's Moisture Egg Hair Pack
So moisturizing and nourishing for dry spilt ends. I use this as a daily conditioner and love how it makes my hair feel silky soft. I haven't felt my hair so smooth and tangle free in a long time!

3) The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum
I avoid using too much of this at my roots cause I have an oily scalp. But I do lather crazy amounts of serum on the ends of my hair and I love it. It helps condition and strengthen damaged hair. Luv that it smells great too.

That's 3 must have hair care products for me. What's urs?

Hi Beauties,

I've been using The Balm's Hot Mama's blusher this whole weekend and I really like it! Initially the golden shimmer made me a bit doubtful but I used it with Down Boy & I really love it!

Pros:- I love the warm Pinkish coral flush it gives and application is very easy. It's a very pigmented blush so a little goes a long way. The golden shimmer brings a glow to the face too. Gotta love the cute packaging that comes with a handy mirror for quick touch ups when I'm out.
Cons:- I think the golden shimmer won't work for people with red acne skin. Why I say this is because I find that it accentuates my larger pores and old acne scars on my cheeks. Your foundation/concealor has to be flawless for this blush to work well.

Overall, I think the shade of his blush is simply sexy and it's growing on me everytime I use it!
