Hi Beauties,

I've been dirty this Friday! Not any kind of dirty, the Lush kind of dirty!

Long story short, Mr Blovet loves Lush's Dirty scent and I got it for him as an appreciation gift. He's such a wonderful hands kind of of dad and always invested in helping others. What better way than to thank him with this body spray that is so long lasting and has such a unique minty sweet yet clean smell to it. I highly recommend this for all the guys out there :-)

* mr Blovet hates anything mint or peppermint based but there's something really special about this dirty scent. He's also a clean freak so I guess Dirty isn't just for smelly guys. Hehehe

Hi Beauties,

I've fallen in love with color this month. Enough of blacks(ok, not totally), neutrals and beige. I want pastels, whites and anything that stands out! My absolute must have is Essence Nail Polish ( cest la vie) - a divine neon coral shade. Corals really perk me up!

Some outfits I've been digging. I still love my black pants but I'm trying to incorporate color back into my wardrobe! Hope you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend! I so am!

Hi Beauties,

Did a high bun to lift my spirits this Monday morning. I felt a little dazed from the exciting weekend hence the slightly zombie look in my eyes. Oh well, I always feel like I am running out of clothes to wear. I put away a lot of my work pants because they lose their shape over countless washes so I'm feeling the need to go pick up pants at either uniqlo or h&m. Still letting my wallet rest though from a meaningful purchase at Micheal Kors ( mommy's birthday and thank u gift!) I bought her a rose gold watch and i didn't Ben take a picture of it !!! Hehe I shall remember though and post it soon.

Hi Beauties,

Just a quick Fotd. I did my face in the car as usual as my hubby had to rush to his clients shop early this morning. I dressed myself and my little boy and headed right out the door. My hair is becoming pretty burdensome- its long and heavy and takes forever to dry. I've been digging this loreal double extension curl mascara (purple tube). It makes lashes look long and fake and doesn't run. Only thing is that it isn't as black as I'd like it to be and can look a tad clumpy. Oh well, hope u have a great Saturday lovelies.

Hi Beauties,

TGIF :-) I've been testing out The Balms Nude'tude palette and I'm still not ready to give a full review. Some colors are lovely to work with while some others are a pain to blend with. Blending wise, all shadows aren't as smooth as the urban decay naked colors but the pigmentation is comparable. Also, I find the shadows to slide and fade off very quickly. I guess the colors aren't very consistent in terms of holding power and ease of blending. The black shade is totally awesome though, the best I've tried in a while.

Night lovelies :-)

Hi Beauties,

Thanks for your positive comments and encouragement in my last entry. Its comforting to know that u guys value my honesty and trust my reviews!

Feeling a little reflective and somewhat irked by old classmates dated makeup styles on facebook, I thought to discuss with u guys an interesting topic on Makeup Boo Boos. I've been guilty of so many of these, the only people to have pointed it out o me were my family :-(

Anyways, let's get started with makeup boo boos I have committed and/or witnessed!

1) Not using an actual mirror to apply my makeup - I admit, I use my iPhone camera ( once in a blue moon) to apply my makeup when I accidentally leave my pocket mirror at home ! Not only does my makeup come out super disgusting but I have to touch it all up again when I get to an actual mirror!

2) Applying makeup in a dark place- Ho crap. I hate this. My makeup ends up looking way too dark and harsh. My eyebrows always end up looking pretty horrible when theres insufficient light.

3) Ghost concealer- usually I don't even have time to put on concealer so I am guilty of spotting panda eyes. But I have put on too light a concealer once or twice before. Now a days I prefer to spot eye bags than have that awful white glow under my eyes that doesnt blend in with my skin color. FYI, I have quite a few school friends that have been using this ghostly under eye technique since the start of time and I hate it. Some girls really think using a super duper white under eye concealer is a trendy thing- stop!!!! They seem to love this ghost eye technique when they go clubbing but I think it looks dated and gross.

4) Unblended fake lashes - omg, this is perhaps my biggest pet peeve. I know a lot of girls use fake lashes all thanks to xiaxue but they arent blending it in. They think falsies look fine with no eye makeup what do ever. It looks scary to have spider lashes that isn't concealed with black eyeliner or complemented by some amount of eyeshadow or eye contouring.

5) Bleeding mascara or eyeliner- totally guilty of this 10000%. * looking mega guilty ** anyways I hate it when I test a new eyeliner or mascara that bleeds all over my eye area. I only use liners or mascaras that are smudge and waterproof because it is so embarrassing to talk to other people and realize they have been starring at a hot panda mess.

Do u have any makeup boo boos to share??

Happy Sunday,
BlovetBeauty

Hi Beauties,

I've had several sleepless nights in the past week and I'm definitely attributing it to work that has been clogging up
my brain and having way too much to think and worry about. I guess you could call me a worry wart or simply dedicated ( I like to think) to my job!

Sometimes when I look at my friends with a normal 9-6 job, I think it must be a hell lot less stressful but the grass always looks greener on the other side. All I know is that my penchant for quality and improvement is setting a high standard but it can definitely be attained with hard work and strategy!

Also, I'm so grateful that despite these stressful times, my skin is well behaved. I'm not sure if it's my hormones that have stabilized after my pregnancy but i stick to daily exfoliation with either my daiso silicon scrub or my clarisionic. Daily exfoliation helps prevent clogged pores and helps remove any post acne marks very quickly.

I'm fortunate to have less acne but I do find that I suffer from a lack or radiance and redness that seems to turn into bumps under the skin. My hectic schedule and stressful lifestyle don't leave my skin in the best of conditions so I was thrilled to hear about a natural beauty supplement from the brand Works with Water Nutraceuticals. I'm gonna test this baby out for about a month and I'm gonna take before and after shots and to see if my skin gets better from the inside out!

Btw, I only test products from companies that do not restrict my point of view. I've turned down companies ( even though I was super excited about their products) because I was restricted in giving my honest opinion. I don't talk a lot about my
Sponsors but trust that I don't lie just to get the products. I would not sell my integrity just to get "free" products to review. That's just not me.

Hi Beauties,

I am an absolute lipstick junkie and although I've never been a NYX lipstick fan, I now am! Simply because of their soft matte lip cream which I have in Tokyo and Monte Carlo.

Monte Carlo looks like a deep dark red in the tube but applies on a few shades lighter. I like to apply more coats for a richer saturated red. These matte lip creams are SO easy to use and I love the matte effect it gives off. For darker colors, matte textures are a must to minimize bleeding at the lips corners. Overall, I'm super in love with the breezy application and sexy dark red shade!

Hi Beauties,

It seems Singapore Zoo is quickly emerging as one of our favourite hang out spots for the weekends.
It has everything needed to entertain a kid including a boat ride, animals, water play and cool play grounds. Heck, I even found a new pair of sunglasses from the kids store!

Singapore Zoo I adore u! Here's my makeup look of the day plus my new sunglasses *

Hi Beauties,

Its been super hot around the tropics lately and rainy during the nights. I am officially sick after caring for boy and hubby who had runny nose and food poisoning respectively, so this week I took it easy and decided to hide indoors and read a magazine or 2. I'm loving the coppery eye I see in so many magazines because it's absolutely eye catching and flattering on my yellow skin! But done wrong and ur eye can end up lookinh real swollen!
I hope u enjoy this Japanese inspired look! Oh and a pic of the best gelato at Tanglin Mall!

Hi Beauties,

I guess u can say I'm bag obsessed. Truly, I can't tell u how long I've been hunting for a good bag. By good, I mean:-
1) lightweight
2) durable
3) sturdy strap
4) versatile and easy to match
5) easy to carry
6) structured shape
7) well priced
8) roomy without looking gigantic
9) resistant to staining
10) resistant to scratching

Yup, just look at my crazy requirements. No wonder it's taken me forever to find my ideal bag!!!
Lo and behold, I found my perfect tan bag from Korea! Its roomy yet light weight. It goes with almost anything I wear.Trust the Koreans to create such a perfect bag! I really am in bag heaven right now.

Hello Beauties,

How has your Friday been? I'm pretty much buzzed out from a serious lack of sleep but otherwise very willing to jump into a brand new weekend!

On the skin front, I've been using this new blackhead scrubber thingy from Daiso. I am quite in love with this little exfoliator.

Pros:-
1) seriously easy to use
2) gentle everyday exfoliation
3) better than microfiber cloth in my
Opinion
4) good massage tool to get blood circulating
5) cheap
Cons :-
Non that I can think of really. For such an amazing low price, it rocks!

If you have sensitive skin, use this together with ur daily exfoliator. Ur skin will love it!
